Green Bay, WI (May 17, 2023) – The much-anticipated Cellcom Green Bay Marathon is set to hit the streets of Green Bay on Sunday, May 21. Thousands of runners will take part in the event’s marathon, half marathon, 5K and relay events starting at 7 a.m. on Mike McCarthy Way near Lambeau Field.
“Many months of training are coming to a close and we’re excited to celebrate the accomplishments of our participants while welcoming visitors from near and far to Green Bay. The Cellcom Green Bay Marathon is a pillar of our community – providing an opportunity for mental and physical wellness, promoting volunteerism, and contributing to local charities. The impact of the event is felt throughout the year and we look forward to a successful race weekend for all,” said Dr. Ashok Rai, president and CEO of Prevea Health and board president of the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon.
All events start and finish on Mike McCarthy Way and include a lap around legendary Lambeau Field. Spectators are welcome and encouraged throughout the course and access to the stands at Lambeau Field is available to watch runners take their lap around the field. The finish line festivities take place at The Bar on Holmgren Way, including a live band on the outdoor stage that is open to the public.
The 2023 Cellcom Green Bay Marathon will benefit Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, New Community Shelter and Greater Green Bay YMCA as its 2023 charity partners. Over the past 23 years, the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon has generated more than $1.7 million in proceeds for local charities.
