Green Bay, WI (February 8, 2013) – Time is running out to register for the Cellcom Green Bay Half Marathon. The half marathon is capped at 5,500 participants and is already 89 percent full.

“The half marathon has become a very popular distance, selling out two of the last three years,” said Sean Ryan, race director of the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon. “With the pace of registration this year, we want to remind runners who may have been waiting to sign up soon before the event is sold out.”

There are a limited number half marathon entries reserved for the Run for a Reason program. Runners who raise $300 for the marathon’s charity partners through the program can receive a free entry, even after regular registration closes.

The full marathon, which is capped at 2,500 participants, is at 44 percent capacity. The marathon relay, which allows up to five people to split the marathon into separate legs, is at 56 percent of its 200 team capacity.

The distance events will take place on Sunday, May 19, beginning at 7 a.m.

The 14th annual Cellcom Green Bay Marathon will take place on May 17-19, 2013. Over the past 13 years, the race has generated over $674,000 in proceeds for local charities. For more information visit
