Hours of Service Compliance Solution Helps Drivers Meet Latest Mandate
De Pere, WI (May 3, 2017) – Local wireless carrier Cellcom has partnered with De Pere-based software company CyntrX to help the transportation industry go digital. A mandate signed into law in December 2015 by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requires drivers and over-the-road carriers to convert their paper logbooks for hour-of-service records to electronic logging devices (ELD) for digital logs. The law aims to increase the efficiency of managing this data, improve accuracy of the records and ultimately create a safer work environment for drivers and everyone on the road.
Cellcom is now offering an Hours of Service Compliance solution to help drivers adhere to the new regulations. The solution includes an ELD that is installed in the vehicle that syncs with the electronic log (eLog) application and administration portal powered by CyntrX. Drivers can create, view, edit, sign, print and email logs and inspection reports in compliance with all FMCSA guidelines, right from a smartphone or tablet.

The ELD wirelessly syncs with a smartphone or tablet application via Bluetooth. The app stores all the data in the cloud, so it can be accessed from anywhere. Drivers and fleet managers then share the same real-time logbook and vehicle data.
