Sixteen $750 scholarships awarded 

(June 6, 2013) – Cellcom has selected 16 graduating high school seniors from across its service area to receive $750 scholarships.

The winners are: Raeanna Isable (NEW Lutheran), Andrew Sprader (Bay Port High School), Amanda Olson (Kaukauna High School), Shelby Van Rossum (Freedom High School), Megan Wayda (Merrill High School), Joseph Novak (Antigo High School), Andrew Munao (Washington Island High School), Kara Schultz (Manitowoc Lutheran), Brice Sturmer (Wausaukee High School), Jenna Schauer (Shawano High School), Elizabeth Nakhla (Wausau West High School), Dallis Giller (Spencer High School), Ashley Reisenauer (Sheboygan South High School), Grace Pfankuch (Plymouth High School), Toria Lodzinski (Stevens Point Area Senior High) and Gina Kvatek (Stevens Point Area Senior High).

“Supporting continuing education is important to Cellcom. Our scholarship program helps local student work toward their goals,” said Brighid Riordan, director of Public Affairs at Cellcom. “Our application emphasizes community involvement, and each of our recipients has gone above and beyond in their community to make a difference. We’re honored to applaud their efforts.”

In addition to community involvement, recipients were selected on the basis of academic record, potential to succeed, leadership and participation in school activities, honors, work experience and an essay on community impact.

Applicants were also required to reside within a county in Wisconsin or Michigan where Cellcom operates and be planning to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or technical school.
